Bar Font on IE 11 not scannable, is scannable on IE 8

I have a web page that produces a bar font which I print on a 2x1 label. On IE 8, this prints/scans fine, on IE 11, it prints fine, but the bar code is not scannable, and you can visibly see a difference.

Is there something I need to do to make it compatible with the new IE versions?

Here is the code that produces the bar code:

<object classid="clsid:0C3874AA-AB39-4B5E-A768-45F3CE6C6819" id="BarCode1" width="200" height="30" codebase=" https://www.idautomation.com/activex/IDAutomationLinear.cab ">

<param name="Enabled" value="-1">
<param name="AutoSize" value="0">

<param name="ForeColor" value="0">
<param name="SymbologyId" value="13">
<param name="DataToEncode" value="<%=intPrintID%>">
<param name="Orientation" value="0">
<param name="BarHeight" value=".5">
<param name="NarrowBarWidth" value="0.5">
<param name="Wide2NarrowRatio" value="3">
<param name="AddCheckDigit" value="1">
<param name="AddCheckDigitToText" value="1">
<param name="UPCESystem" value="0">
<param name="EANUPCSupplement" value="0">
<param name="ShowText" value="0">
<param name="TopMarginCM" value="0.1">
<param name="LeftMarginCM" value="0">

<param name="CodabarStopCharacter" value="B">
<param name="SupplementToEncode" value>
<param name="FixedResolutionCM" value="0">
<param name="ApplyTilde" value="1">
<param name="XDimensionMILS" value="11.81">
<param name="CharacterGrouping" value="0">
<param name="WhiteBarIncrease" value="7">
<param name="BearerBarHorizontal" value="0">

<param name="TextMarginCM" value="0.03">
<param name="PostnetHeightTallBar" value="0.3">
<param name="PostnetHeightShortBar" value="0.125">
</object>

Also, this happens while in regular, and compatibility mode.

Operating System: Windows 10

Application: IE 11, compatability mode

Generally, if the issue occurs when printed to a physical printer and it is specifically related to the component, it will occur when rendered to PDF (if printed from the same application). Unfortunately, I do not see any attachments in the post. Send the printed labels to us: Contact Us. I'd at least like to look at them. I will not be able to provide assistance without this information. Have you also tried printing from another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) as a test?

There are no options on our end that can be modified to manage the printing of the barcode on IE 11. You may need to consider more up-to-date technology, such as an online barcode generator.

Again, the issue is on the print, not the screen. I print it as PDF, and it looks fine. I print that PDF to a printer, and it prints fine. It is printing from IE 11 (anything above IE 9) that fails. I've used multiple printers, multiple computers, all with the same results:

IE 8 to printer A - prints fine
IE 11 to printer A - not scannable

IE 8 t0 printer B - prints fine
IE 11 to printer B - not scannable

On the IE 11 machines, I've printed the bar code using a different application and it scans fine (using Microsoft Access to print).

I've attached a picture of the two labels - the top one is IE 11, and the bottom is IE 8.

I guarantee you can replicate this issue yourself if you have an IE 11 machine.

Send a PDF of each barcode. If it is barcode related, the issue will still occur. Send to us: Contact Us

The issue is on the print, not the screen.

I will print this 2x1 label to a Zebra ZP 505 on IE 8 and it is fine, I do the same thing on IE 11 and it is un-scannable, on the same printer.

Attach a screenshot of the two barcodes: one from IE 8 and the other from IE 11.
