Barcode appears only on localhost, but not on web diffusion

Hi everybody,

I use windows server 2008 and IIS6. Strangely, barcodes appear only when I browse the web page from localhost. When I browse the same page from the external domain, the barcodes don't appear.

Any idea?

Thanks for your help

Barcode fonts are not the best product solution for the Web. In most cases, you would need to install the fonts on every computer that needs to generate and display the barcode.

The best solution would be to use the Streaming Barcode Server for IIS.

I'm using IDAutomationHC39M. I added an Internet user and an ASPNET user, but the bar code still not appears.

Here is the source code (vb.net) :

Dim sCode As String = "123" 'Request.QueryString("code")
'Multiply the length of the code by 40 (just to have enough width)
Dim w As Integer = sCode.Length
'Create a bitmap object of the width that we calculated and height of 100
Dim oBitmap As Bitmap = New Bitmap(w, 100)
'then create a Graphic object for the bitmap we just created.
Dim oGraphics As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(oBitmap)
' Now create a Font object for the Barcode Font
' (in this case the IDAutomationHC39M) of 18-point size
Dim oFont As Font = New Font("IDAutomationHC39M", 18)
'Let’s create the Point and Brushes for the barcode
Dim oPoint As PointF = New PointF(2.0F, 2.0F)
Dim oBrushWrite As SolidBrush = New SolidBrush(Color.Black)
Dim oBrush As SolidBrush = New SolidBrush(Color.White)
'Now lets create the actual barcode image
'with a rectangle filled with white color
oGraphics.FillRectangle(oBrush, 0, 0, w, 100)
'We have to put prefix and suffix of an asterisk (*),
'in order to be a valid barcode
oGraphics.DrawString("*" + sCode + "*", oFont, oBrushWrite, oPoint)
'Then we send the Graphics with the actual barcode
Response.ContentType = "image/jpeg"
oBitmap.Save(Response.OutputStream, ImageFormat.Jpeg)

Thanks

What barcode product are you using?

Are you using the Sale or Demo version? If Sale, when did the issue first occur?

If you are using any of our Web Components, make sure that users have permission to access the page that contains the barcode.
