Crystal Reports Native Barcodes are not scanning

We are using the Crystal Native Bar Code Generator and can not scan. We are creating an SSCC-18 and Postal Code bar code for a label. The attached images include a formula for SSCC-18 and SHIP_TO_POST bar codes, format settings, and generated labels.

Various combinations of fonts (Courier New and Lucinda Console), font sizes 3, 4, 5, and 5.5, multiple line spacing between .8 and .95, and different bar heights have been tried. I can scan the printed bar codes with the Quick Scan App on the iPhone but the customer gets an invalid bar code with the actual scanner.

Are the formulas correct? Out of ideas on this end.

The image presented with the barcodes does scan, however, the barcodes are distorted as if they were printed on a thermal printer.
I read the data as 038118 and 00107805480003174800

It is possible that the distortion is causing problems with some scanners. If you are using a 203 or 300 dpi thermal printer, the point size should be 2.5 or 5 points. Sometimes using Lucida Console instead of Courier New also helps to remove the horizontal lines. Also, check your print driver settings because they may be graphic and font options there that can change the print quality.

To scan from the screen of a Windows PC, the best sizes to use are 10, 12, or 16 points. If distortion is noticed, slightly adjust the point size up or down in .5 increments.
