Microsoft Access Data Matrix Barcode Size

I have an MSAccess project that uses the Active X control to produce two Data Matrix barcodes on a label. The Access version is Microsoft® Access® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2202 Build 16.0.14931.20494) 32-bit. My company is upgrading to 64-bit so I have upgraded one machine to test the application but it exits MS Access when trying to print or view the design of the label.

We also own the Native Generator software package so I tried changing the label to use that software. The barcodes are larger (0.4"x0.4" vs. the Active X barcodes 0.25" x 0.25") and I'm unable to make them smaller to fit correctly on my label. I either need instructions on how to address the Active X product compatibility with 64-bit or instructions on how to adjust the barcode to a smaller size with the Native Generator software package.

Operating System: Windows 10

Application: Microsoft® Access® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2202 Build 16.0.14931.20494) 32-bit

You should be able to reduce the size of the Native Generator for Access.

For Reports, modify the parameters in the result line so that the DPI is increased to the minimum printer DPI you will be printing to and reduce the MILS. For example, these parameters generate a 5 mil barcode to a target 600 dpi printer:
result = IDAutomation_NatG_DataMatrix(IDAutomationDataMatrix1, Me, 5, 600)

For Forms, reduce the font size to the smallest possible, such as 2 points. If you still need a smaller symbol, you can use the "IDAutomation2D S" font instead of Courier New which creates a symbol about 50% smaller. You can find the "IDAutomation2D S" font in the Universal 2D Barcode Font Download.

ActiveX is a legacy product and no more updates to it are planned.
