Not able to produce start C character for GS1-128 barcode in Crystal Reports

Hello,

I am using your ID Automation barcoding software to create GS1-128 barcodes using crystal reports 11. I am using the IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde method and am being told by the company Barcode Graphics it is not picking up the Start C character at the beginning of the barcode. I have included what they are decoding as well as my formulas below. Can you please help me out with this?

In the first setup you had (with the 212 in use) the Function Code 1 was encoded, but the Start Character was not correct. The formatting was like this:

<Start B><FNC1><Switch to C><data>

It needs to be:

<Start C><FNC1><data>

Crystal Report formulas
Ship to Postal Code:

IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde ("~213420"& {v_ASNLabels.ESITOZIP})

Mark For Store:

IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde ("~212910"& {v_ASNLabels.PRBTADCD})

SSCC-18

IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde ("~212"& {v_ASNLabels.SSCC18})

Operating System: windows

When the IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde function is used with numeric data, it will always begin with START C. Here is an example: IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde ("~21201123456789012")

In the encoded data, the start character is the Start C Í followed by the FNC1 Ê.

(1) Verify that you are using the latest version of the Crystal UFL.

(2) Run a test with hard-coded data such as 123456789012.

(3) Verify that the IDAutomationC128 font is applied to the encoded data.

Example of SSCC18 value with the IDAutomation Code 128 Font applied. It includes the Start C:
