Resolved Questions

How do I encode an FNC1 in Crystal formula for GS1-128?

Good afternoon,
I'm trying to get a GS1 128 barcode showing (10)B200102034. I run the following Crystal Report function :
IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde ("~212" & "10B200102034")

However, when I read the barcode I get 10B1200102034.
*B2* is turned into *B1*
Thanks for your help,

Victor

Alternatively, IDAutomation_Code128 ("Ê" & "Data") will work. However, IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde is a function from an older legacy UFL. IDAutomation recommends using the Crystal Font Formulas instead of the UFL. The Font Formulas are provided in the download of the latest version.

Hi,
The formula that causes the error is still the same : IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde ("~212" & "10B200102034")
I tried IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde ("~202" & "10B200102034") but it didn't fix the issue.

The only solution I found is to use IDAutomation_Code128 ("Ê" & "10B200102034")

There is no risk of using the Ê character as the FNC1.
However, we would like to find the problem. Can you upload the formula you were using that caused the error please, this could help out others that may have similar issues in the future.

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt answer.
It didn't work either using "~202".
However, using IDAutomation_Code128 ("Ê10B200102034") went well.

Is there any difference/risk in using this?
Thanks again

Try this instead and let us know the result: "~202" & "10B200102034". Also, make sure you are using the latest Crystal Reports Formulas that are included with the latest version of the product.
