How do I format a 2D barcode in Crystal so it displays as a perfect square?

The font "Courier New" tends to create a wider 2D symbol and "Consolas" tends to create a taller symbol in 2D Matrix barcode types that use the Unicode Image, such as the Native Barcode Generator for Crystal Reports. In Crystal Reports, a taller symbol can be shortened by changing the line spacing. For example, if "Consolas" is creating a symbol that is too tall, set the line spacing under the Paragraph tab to .95 or another size that creates the square symbol.

Because the Native Generator uses blocks to build the barcode, it may have a slight difference from the normal square. You can try adjusting the spacing of the barcode object properties. If not, consider using a barcode font such as the Data Matrix Font and Encoder.

Attach a screenshot of the issue. When using the Native Generator, sometimes the barcode is not a complete square due to the spacing of the blocks used to create it. However, until I see the barcode, I cannot confirm.

Attach a screenshot of the barcode. Are you creating Data Matrix? PDF417? QR Code?

I am using ID Automation Native Barcode Generator for Crystal Reports Version 2007.04. I have created the barcode, however, my customer has requested that it be displayed as a squared.
