ActiveX Control with DropBox Shared Database


I have purchased the ActiveX Control Barcode Software. I installed it on 1 machine without issue. I tried to install it on another machine and ran into an issue in that when I opened the access database, there was an error message that there was a missing reference "TBarCode OCX 11.0 Type Library". I went through the same steps as I did with the other database. The only difference is that I was in Dropbox with a customer on his PC. The database was not local on his PC. Is that the issue? Do I have to install the ActiveX on a local PC since Access is installed on that PC?

Yes, ActiveX must be installed on each PC. Make sure the IDAutomation product is installed and then open the access database in developer mode. Go to Visual Basic - Tools - References and remove the reference to TBarCode, which is not our product. Make sure the IDAutomation products are enabled (checked).
