PDF417 Encoder

I just downloaded a demo version of your PDF417 encoder App , with a view to seeing how it works first before purchasing.

I tried encoding some bio data, and i was able to generate a barcode as expected,

When i tried reading the barcode with a barcode scanner, it was able to decode the barcode and it gave me the exact result i expected.

However, when i tried using a Drivers license scanner to read the barcode, it returned no result.

Why is that?

Is there a different requirement or method to encode a Drivers License barcode?

Could anyone enlighten me on this ASAP?

Not all barcode scanners are able to read and decode the PDF417 2D barcode on a drivers license. In testing, the IDAutomation 2D USB Scanner is able to read and decode Florida Drivers Licenses. PDF417 Barcodes, mandatory on all state-issued ID/DL cards in the United States, must comply with one of the AAMVA design standards. States can (and many do) include other encrypted information within the barcode in addition to the required non encrypted data fields. Any reader that can decode the encrypted information must be licensed by the state.
