Use of PDF47 font in Crystal reports, ASP.NET application

Hello,
I have IDAutomation PDF417 Windows Font Encoder installed on my developer PC.
I'm trying to use IDAutomation 2D PDF417 font field in the crystal report file which is included in the asp.net project. The project is developed in Visual Studio 2008. The 2D field looks fine in the report preview in visual studio, but when printed to Zebra from application run time (from the server side) this barcode looks "jammed" and cannot be scanned.
The question is IDAutomation PDF417 Windows Font Encoder compatible to use in Asp.net application with server-side printing?

Operating System: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008

Application: Crystal reports, Visual Studio

That would indicate that the UFL is being used. The issue is related to the DPI (dots per inch) of the Zebra printer. Please review the general Knowledgebase article that addresses the printing of barcodes to lower-DPI printers. Although the article covers Linear barcodes, it can be used as a guide to troubleshoot which font size to use.

Hi James,
I use the following formula with font IDAutomationPDF417n3 size 5:

stringVar DataToEncode:={eis_OrdersOrderItem_sp;1.2d_Barcode};
stringVar CompleteBarcodeString:="";
numberVar i:=0;
numberVar Segments:= IDAutomationPDF417EncoderPDFSet(DataToEncode,0 ,0 ,0 ,0 ,1 ,0 );
For i:=0 to Segments Do
(
CompleteBarcodeString := CompleteBarcodeString + IDAutomationPDF417EncoderPDFGet(i);
);
CompleteBarcodeString

An order number for the purchase is not able to be obtained from the listed email address. Specify if the UFL or Native Crystal Report Formula for PDF417 are being used.
