IDAutomationFontEncoder.dll quit working on 2019 server

IDAutomationFontEncoder.dll quit working on 2019 server this week. VB6 app working for many years. Downloaded the latest which is 4 years older than our current dll. No error messages, just hangs at str = IDAutomationDLL.Code128c(fieldvalue)

Operating System: Server 2019

Application: VB6

From the code snippet you posted it looks like you are using the ActiveX COM DLL. There may be a problem registering the DLL on your system. If you have already tried downloading and installing the ActiveX COM DLL and that does not work, I recommend trying to import the VB6 / VBA module into your VB6 project directly and change the function to Code128(). Let us know if this is possible for you to do.
