How can I setup SC5 USB not to read ( * ).
Below are sample barcode data I was provided to test on the device.
The barcode type is Code 128.

*250086172
*250086172

Output:

For Code 128, print pages 20,21, and 92 of the SC5USB Scanner manual.

1. On page 20, scan the Program barcode.

2. On page 21, scan the Truncate leading barcode. (Sets the scanner to Truncate a leading character)

3. On page 92, scan 0, 1. (This is designed to truncate 1 character)

4. On page 92, scan the Finish barcode.

5. On page 21, scan the Exit barcode.

NOTE:

If you are working with other symbologies, please refer to the specific symbology page in the manual.

If you need to truncate ending characters, refer to the specific symbology page, and follow the procedures. Instead of scanning the Truncate leading barcode, scan the Truncate ending barcode.

If you need to Truncate more than one character, scan the number of characters that you would like to Truncate. For example, 0,3 would be three characters.
