What is the date and timestamp of latest version of the idautomation.pdf417.dll?

What is the date and timestamp of the latest version of the idautomation.pdf417.dll? I have 2/24/2009 at 10:22 am.
I am getting an error and it appears to stop on this line of code:
BCPDF417.BMPPicture.Save(stream, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg);

The error is a System.NullReferenceException. I don't know what it thinks is null because I have data. The strange thing is that if a delete a few characters from the PDF417 data then I get a barcode but the barcode has incomplete data when scanned. I thought it could be a data issue, however, I can print that same PDF417 data to a label printer and when I scan that barcode it contains all of the data.

Thank you,
Sharon Rozeboom

This issue was resolved with the following setting:
BCPDF417.PDFMode = PDF417Barcode.PDF417Modes.Text;

The newer dll did not resolve the issue. The PDF417 data seems to be the issue but I can print it directly to an Eltron printer just fine.

One thing I tried was changing the PDFErrorCorrectionLevel from 2 to 1. When I use 1, I do not get the NullReferenceException, I get a barcode but when the barcode is scanned the data is incomplete.

I don't fully understand the ErrorCorrectionLevel. My PDF417 data is 1287 characters long. If I remove one "08" row of data, then I can get the barcode to print however when the barcode is scanned it does not contain all of the data.

Would this indicate that there is an error in the data?

Thank you,
Sharon

Absolutely,

You can send it to admin@idautomation.com.
I will run some tests on my end to see if I can recreate the error.

Sharon,

The latest time stamp on the idautomation.pdf417.dll is 10/26/2010.
Try downloading the demo version and see if the error still occurs.
https://www.idautomation.com/formscontrols/download.html

If the error still occurs please let me know, and post any code snippets so I can try and recreate the error. I am currently updating this component, and we are getting ready to release the new version soon.

If the new version works, the latest full version can be downloaded by updating the priority support and upgrade subscription, priced at $219.00. This will reactivate your download link for one year, and give one year of tech support. So any updates made to the package can be downloaded again.
Refer to this page for order information.
