How do you calculate the price check digit in a EAN 13 5 digit price?

How do you calculate the price check digit for an EAN 13 5-digit price?

Say your EAN-13 number is: 2003493104857

The price would be 104.85 and the Price check digit is 3, but how is/was the price check digit calculated?

I actually finally found the answer after looking all day.

https://www.pdffiller.com/en/project/24861518.htm?form_id=264242

Go to pages 88 thru 92 of the Basics and Principles of the EAN.UCC System PDF document. This will explain how to calculate both the 4-digit price check digit and the 5-digit price check digit.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, the 7 is the overall check digit for the entire barcode however in a 4-digit item 5-digit price embedded barcode (random weight item) there is a Price Check digit.

2003493104857

20 = the Type/Code
0349 = the 4-digit Item
3 = Price check digit
10485 = 5-digit price
7 = Check digit

A further example of this is referenced at http://www.ciax.com/manuals/ref/ean-weight.htm "6-digit product code, followed by 1 price check digit, then 5-digit price in the local currency."

Also http://barcodes.gs1us.org/GS1%20US%20BarCodes%20and%20eCom%20-%20The%20Global%20Language%20of%20Business.htm

This shows how to calculate the price check digit for a 4-digit price but what I'm looking for is how to do that for a 5-digit price.

Hello CWard,

I am not sure which check digit you are referring to.
The check digit for 200349310485 is 7, which is what makes the barcode readable by a scanner.
Here is more information on how this is calculated.
https://www.barcodefaq.com/1d/upc-ean/#MOD_10

Unfortunately, we do not have any information on price check digits specifically.
