How does the app calculate CheckDigit for Code39 Extended?

You claim that the check digit character calculation goes modulo 43. But module 43 is calculated only for the characters “0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ-. $/+%” But Code39 Extended contains other ascii characters as well. How, for example, can the program make calculations modulo 43 for the string “12&@”?

If you are using a Code 39 font, many of our font encoders include a Code 39 Extended MOD 43 function. You can see the result at our Online Font Encoder, enter the data at the top of the form, for example, 12a34 and then choose the Code39Ext MOD43 button and the result would be (12+A34I). To assist you more with your issue, we need to know what you purchased from us and if you did buy a font, what font encoder you are using. Generally, we recommend Code 128 over Code 39 when using the extended characters if possible because it generates a smaller symbol and is easily supported by all scanners.
