How to enter variables into a base company QR code


I have dozens of salesmen who send mail and emails out to their own customers. We are investigating giving each of them a company-branded QR code with a variable in it that would be unique to that salesman.

We need to be able to track orders coming in from that salesman's customers so that the salesman gets proper credit for any sales mailed/emailed directly back to the company from their customers.

Is it possible to work with just one QR code that has variables in it for identification? Or do we have to get dozens of separate QR codes, one for every salesman?

Given the specific scenario, each QR Code barcode would contain the salesperson's data that identifies them. As an idea, another piece of information can be added to the data to signify if the barcode is outgoing or back from the customer (on a pre-printed piece inside, sent with the outgoing mail).
