Code 128 Adding Extra Characters in Data Matrix Code


Crystal Reports Font Formulas are being used in crystal reports version 14. I am having an issue with the code 128 font we purchased being used in the data matrix code we purchased.

The code 128 formula adds an Ë at the beginning and gÎ at the end of the code. When printed off the code 128 scans just fine and does not show those characters.

In the data matrix formula, I call out the code 128 formula. When scanning the data matrix code I end up seeing Ë and gÎ in the data. Is there a way around this?

The formulas are designed to be used separately, meaning that you should not call the Code 128 formula from within the Data Matrix formula. The way around this would be to call each formula separately in the same report by copying the original formulas into the report.
