Easy Way to Determine Whether I Need Standard Fonts or Universal Fonts

We do work for international clients and need an easy way to determine if they need the Universal or standard (specifically Code 128 or ITF) fonts.

What suggestion do you have?

James	Best Answer Recommended solution: • Install the Code 128 Barcode Fonts or the Interleaved 2 of 5 (ITF) Barcode Fonts – whether demo or sale version. • Download and install the Linear Font Encoder Application (FEA – may be installed by the font package installer as well). Code 128: 1. Enter the following into the Data To Encode window (make sure to delete any leading/trailing spaces or Enters/Returns/Carriage Returns before/after the data): (01)23456 2. Match these settings (if the setting is not mentioned, it is not applicable): • Symbology: Code 128 (or equivalent) • Options: Auto • Apply Tilde: Checked • Apply Barcode Font: Unchecked Code 128 Test: Compare the output to this: ÍÊ!7MÈ6Î ITF: 1. Enter the following into the Data To Encode window (make sure to delete any leading/trailing spaces or Enters/Returns/Carriage Returns before/after the data): 123456 2.
