How can I remove * characters from the scanned data?


I am using the field from the IDAutomation Native - Code 128 Auto.rpt and when I scan my barcode I am getting a leading * and a trailing *. Is there a way to remove these so that just my part number characters are read from the scan? It doesn't appear to be my data as I can switch it to our old code and using the same scanner the * does not display.

This product does not encode asterisks by default. It sounds like something is trying to append the asterisks for a Code 39 barcode type. Examine the DataToEncode in the formula of the report and make sure that the asterisks are not being added there. Make sure the asterisks are not already included in the data being encoded. Use the example provided in the download and then use a process of elimination to find the solution.
