PCL Barcode Font 128 in SAP Forms

I asked for using C39 barcode font last week and the answer with start and stop character helped a lot.

Now I have a similar question to Code 128 barcode fonts. We use Code 128 Type C in our SAP forms and have problems printing them out correctly on Konica Minolta printers, which we want to use in the future. Is there a Code 128 Type C font in your demo package for testing? And if Yes, is there also a need for start and stop characters like in Code 39? I read something about an additional check code in front of the stop character, which has to be calculated.

Brant	Best Answer Unfortunately, we do not have a plugin for SAP Forms. I recommend having a developer look into how to implement one of our Font Encoders. The process would be to download the PCL font to the printer first and then modify SAP Forms for the PCL font. All of our barcode fonts include PCL fonts. If you can use Crystal Reports instead of Forms, we offer a Barcode Generator for Crystal Reports that is very easy to use. We use barcodes in SAP forms made with SAP Script. Printouts are initiated by the clients using SAP GUI but printed from the SAP server (Windows 2008 R2).

We do offer Code 128 Type C in the download of the Code 128 Fonts. It is more complex than Code 39 and requires a font encoder to be implemented to automatically add in the start, stop, and checksum characters. If you are using Crystal Reports, the font license purchase includes a Font Formula to make the process easy.
