Resolved Questions

In two print batches, 1% of barcodes are inconsistent

We have detected a problem with the Crystal Reports Data Matrix Native Barcode Generator component. By launching two print batches of about 200 sheets, about 1% reported an inconsistent value in the DataMatrix (reporting the barcode of another sheet). We use the high-performance UFL formula.

Operating System: Windows server 2019

Application: Crystal Report

It is possible that running 2 high-speed print jobs at the same time could cause the barcodes to be confused when using the Hybrid UFL because it is a single component. The issue was resolved by using the latest version (2021 or later) of the Native Formula (not the hybrid) because it processes independently and does not use the legacy UFL.

To obtain the latest version, refer to this incident:
https://support.idautomation.com/Release-Log-CRBG/July-2021-Update-to-the-Data-Matrix-Native-Barcode-Generator/_3522

If the version of the Native Formula is not the 2021 or later version, I recommend updating your support from the links in the incident mentioned above.
