Smaller Barcode Font

Dears,
I'm a developer in a company that has 1 pos station, and that pos have a barcode scanner, and I have been using the "IDAutomationHC39M" font in crystal report it's doing a pretty good job, but the problem is when I have a smaller barcode label ( width = 4cm, height 2.3 cm ) and there is 3 fields like :

First name
barcode (13 characters)
price

the barcode reader won't read it because the font size is smaller than 8,
is there any paid version that would read it?

Barcode fonts must be printed at certain point sizes. The optimal size for Code 39 is 12 points. Depending on the scanner, a barcode set to lower than 12 points may read. Some scanners will be able to scan a 300 dpi (or greater) at 4 points. The scannability of small barcodes depends on the scanner as well as print quality.

Verify the font is a valid size by viewing the font specifications.

But we already have a vb6 application that generates a smaller barcode and it can be read with the same scanner but we can't change the design as easily as the crystal report.
