Barcode not scanning Crystal Report

Hi,

I developed a working report using the demo version of your product. When I upgraded to the licensed version of the product, I lost the font used to generate a successful scan. Following on the answer to a recent question of how to install 128 B fonts that have been installed successfully (I think) I cannot test scan the new barcodes. The report prints a barcode but it's not scanning.
on reading other posts on the site here's what I've done:
1. Confirmed there's sufficient space around the field (not cut off)
2. Installed the .ttf fonts in /Legacy Fonts/Human Readable Fonts/Set B
3. restarted the server using these fonts (now displays a barcode that doesn't scan)

I'm using the font IDAutomationHbC128XS font size 20.
I'm converting three separate fields into none of the fields scan
the first field prints the code looking like it contains extra characters ||||||[]| (the [] comes at the end of the code)

does 128B require a start and stop character Currently there aren't any.

I appreciate the help.
thanks

We recommend using the included crystal example from the new product to copy and paste into your new report, following the Crystal Font Encoder Formula Example.
