Where do DLLs need to be installed for Crystal Reports


When running Crystal from the server barcodes fonts from ID automation will print.
If we run the same crystal reports from a workstation they do not print. Even though in the Fonts to choose from the ID automation fonts are available to choose from. Just prints the characters and not the barcodes.

Sometimes viewers have problems with custom fonts when they are not embedded. I do not know the full process of it but you may find some information from SAP. We do have alternative products that generate barcodes as images instead of fonts.

They are not showing on the viewer and they are not printing.

Microsoft Word can be opened and a string can be barcoded and it works fine.

Seems to be an issue between Crystal reports and ID Automation. Trying to track down what might be different between the server and workstations.

If you receive the encoded data characters, then the dlls are in the correct spot. If you see the font within the selection window, the fonts are also installed in the correct location. Are you printing to viewer or PDF? If so, the barcode fonts may not be embedded into the document. Verify the computer generating the barcode fonts properly embeds the font using Crystal SAP procedures for embedding. If you are printing the report directly, are you able to modify the font to a barcode font?
