Can't fit 10 alphanumeric characters in a 14x14 Data Matrix


Per the GS1 table, I should be able to fit 10 alphanumeric characters in a 14x14 Data Matrix 2D Barcode.
Why am I getting errors to fit 10 alphanumeric characters in a 14x14 data matrix?

Sample 10 digit I used: 1XC8 5A10f

We do not offer this type of training. To gain this type of information, you would have to refer to the specification or examine the source code. With any Developer License to the Data Matrix Font and Encoder we would provide the source as VBA, JavaScript, VB.NET, or C#.

Thank you for your quick response. do you offer training for 2D Barcode data matrix encoding/decoding? I am interested to understand further what limits the # of characters in a barcode and how is it calculated.

Let us know what product you are using and which encoding mode. Usually, you will need to encode in C 40 and use only numbers and uppercase letters to achieve the maximum.
