Barcode Recognition Problem.

We currently create Code-128Auto barcodes in VB.net with IDAutomation recognition software but read them in with another software. When trying the demo app for recognizing barcodes from IDAutomation it won't recognize the barcodes we've printed. Any help? I can send the scanned document if possible.

The .NET Barcode Recognition Decoder SDK has been discontinued.

I see thank you for the clarification,

If the image is part of a document you can try and pass part of the image that contains the barcode to the ReadBarcode method.

If the barcode is rotated, you can try and set the Angle property to rotate it back to zero degrees. The angle will rotate the image clockwise to the degree set. So if the barcode image is scanned at 90 degrees, setting the Angle to 270 will rotate it back to zero degrees. This will give it the best chance of being picked up.

Another option would be to try setting the AngleTolerance property to either 5 or 10. This will try to read the image several times plus and minus the specified property, using the Angle property as a center reference point.

Sorry. I'm creating them with this: IDAutomation .NET Barcode Linear Forms Control.
I'm currently scanning them in with a product from Nuance.
We'd like to move from Nuance to using IDAutomation for scanning them (with a flatbed scanner) and recognizing the barcodes in the scanned images, however, the demo isn't working.

I am sorry but I am a little confused,

In the original question, you mention that you are creating barcodes with IDAutomation software but are reading them with another. The link provided is for our barcode recognition component which does not create barcodes.

Which product are you using to create the barcodes?

I'm evaluating the Barcode Recognition software. I've scanned the document to an image for a test and I'm using the demo to import it and recognize the barcode.

Which package are you evaluating, the code 128 font package, or is our .net forms control being used by chance?

If scanning software is having trouble reading the barcode, the demo watermark could be the problem.
