Getting a line feed from the SC7-USB scanner

I was wondering if this is possible:

I created a GS1 Data Matrix barcode. Using the SC7-USB scanner and the Barcode Label Printing Software. I have created the barcode that has a linefeed <LF> character after each group of numbers. However, when I scan it into Notepad it reads these as just a space.

Is there a way to make it drop down to the next line after each group of numbers? When I scan the barcode from the app on my iPhone, it works great. However not when scanning it into some computer program. Is this result normal?

Maybe the software does not read it the same. Do I have to set the scanner up differently? I went through the manual, but it is not clear to me. (ya, kinda new at this..)

Thanks for any help. Appreciate it as always!

The result you are seeing might be inherent to Microsoft Notepad itself since you have verified the linefeed was properly encoded into the Data Matrix barcode you created.

Try the following:
* Go to the Manual (PDF page 90) and scan “Default All Data Matrix Settings”
* Try a different program that might recognize the linefeed properly, like Microsoft Word or Excel, to rule out Notepad being the culprit

If the above still does not resolve the issue, please post an image of the barcode so we may test it as well.
