The bar codes are printing too dark on my Konica Minolta Copiers


The copiers have the PCL c39s fonts downloaded to the hard drive. Barcodes print at 600 dpi. Formsfast uses IDAutomation C39s barcodes to generate barcodes for their forms. The forms are then scanned with Canon scanners and processed by KoFax to route the files to the Medical records program. When printed on our machines, the barcodes are not processed correctly. Old hp printers are printing readable barcodes. Our prints are too dark. The machine cannot print lighter. How can we print the download to the copiers in a c39s font that prints lighter? Changing all the forms that are sent to the machine is not an option (too many older printers in the customer's fleet).

Unless the printer in question has a way to lighten the font, the only other possible option would be for us to create a custom font for you (an inquiry would have to be made to see if it is possible).

We would like to inquire about the cost of creating a c39s barcode that is downloadable to the Konica Minolta copier that will print lighter without reformating all the formfast documents.
