Tabbing into a specific web field


Hi everyone. I've been creating barcodes with control characters (Tabs) to tab between data entry fields on a webpage. The problem is that if the user clicks somewhere, hits a tab once by mistake, etc., it throws off the hardcoded number of tabs in the barcode. For example, if Field A is an address and you scan into that, then tab 5 times to get to Field E to scan in the company name barcode next, if the user makes any mistake or does anything out of the ordinary, the barcode with 5 tabs encoded will no longer work correctly. Aside from users not screwing up, is there any way to have a barcode encoded to select a specific field by using the field name? It doesn't look like this is possible in the barcode standards, but maybe by using customizations in the scanner options?

Take a look at what is documented in our Scanner Integration Guide, you should be able to do something similar in your application.
