Code 128 Font not scanning on thermal printer labels


We cannot get any of the Code 128 Font barcodes to scan on our labels. They scan fine on plain paper just not on the labels. Some of our item #s are long - Example:
10I150WGT/T17-RED4-250-PC. But the barcodes will scan on plain paper. We are using Crystal Reports 8 and a Datamax 4212 Label Printer.

If the scanner scans the barcode printed on plain paper but not on another material, then the encoding should be correct.

1. Verify the barcode printed on the label is the full barcode, and not cut off on either side.

2. Verify there is enough white space between the first and last few bars and the label ends.

3. Verify the point size is adjusted to the recommended Thermal Printer sizes:
203 DPI Printer (thermal printer)
6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36
