Code128 Barcode shows leading zero when scanned


We are using IDAUTOMATION UNIVERSAL Font Package. We have generated encoded text for Code128 font after adding the field in the RTF template we can see the barcode generated correctly. The issue is when we scan the barcode, we see a leading zero in front of the decoded text.

Example: Data - 37829477020
Encoded text - EBJBBGHABJFACIEAHBFBIBBMGIAH
After scanning data displayed with leading zero - 037829477020

Please help us in resolving this issue.

It sounds like you may be choosing the character set "C" instead of auto. Try the auto mode of Code 128 and if that does not work in your environment, you could switch to set "B" or even better use only an even number of digits for numbers only. The issue is that Code 128 can only encode numbers efficiently when they are in pairs.
