Microsoft Office Word 2010 Problem

Hi, Im evaluating Code128. I cannot get the font to display correctly in MS Word 2010 when using the HR font. When entering a value such as IDA4000, it displays the HR part as IDA only, the barcode part is displayed with some squares in the middle of the barcode. It displays correctly in Excel though. Please help, I need to deliver a solution fairly urgently and would like to go with IDAutomation but have lost so much time and cannot get it to work. Note that I have used the sample spreadsheet and did a mail merge, I have also tried the add-in but got the same result using either method.

Regards.

This is a known issue with Unicode characters within MS Word -- the issue does not occur in Excel. The alternative would be to encode the data using the Barcode VBA for Excel and Word as Code 128 (non-human readable) then create a separate column that will only display the human-readable.

Perform a mail merge and use the Barcode field and the Human readable field, and place the human-readable field underneath the barcode.

Another alternative would be to use the Code 39 Barcode fonts:
