Cant scan a single letter from Barcode Code 128


I recently purchased the code128 font package for Excel mail merge to Adobe Illustrator and successfully used the =code128() function to encode my text picture from the 1st row to the 2nd row. In the third row, I applied the IDAutomation C128xs font. All data successfully scanned from the third row to the fourth row except "A". Please advise.

This customer also emailed Support with the same question. I was able to verify that the barcode scans correctly using our Barcode Data Decoder Verifier App and the customer verified that his scanner cannot scan a barcode less than 2 characters in length.

Encoding a single character is certainly a rare situation. Can you verify that your scanner is able to scan data that contains only one character? Many barcode scanners have a minimum and maximum number of characters setting and usually the minimum is two.
