Universal Function/Font Encoder with Barcode Font produces extremely long barcode

I am using your font and encoder to generate barcodes. When I encode data using the Universal function such as:

IDAutomation_Uni_C128 and apply the IDAutomationC128 or IDAutomationSC128 font, the barcode is extremely long and does not scan.

For instance, encoding 1234567890 should produce a barcode that looks like this:

But it looks like this::

Sometimes the barcode takes up the entire page width. What am I doing wrong?

This issue may occur when the Universal Font Encoder function is used such as IDAutomation_Uni_C128 from the Excel VBA but a normal barcode font IDAutomationC128M (XS-XL) or demo IDAutomationSC128 (XS-XL) font is applied instead of a Universal Font, such as IDAutomation Uni M.

When this occurs, an exceedingly long unscannable barcode is generated.

The Universal Font Package uses Universal Functions, regardless of the barcode type. For example, when you use the IDAutomation_Uni_C128 function, you must use the IDAutomation Uni font, not the IDAutomationC128 font. This is true for any other symbology that has a Universal function. If you encode data for Code 39 using IDAutomation_Uni_C39, then it requires the IDAutomation Uni font to generate a valid Code 39 barcode.

Universal Fonts or Code 128 for Mac use functions and formulas that include the wording Uni or Universal.

Example of Universal IDAutomation Uni font used with IDAutomation_Uni_C39 formula:

Standard font packages such as Code 128 or Code 39 or Interleaved 2 of 5 use the functions and formulas that do not have Uni in the wording.

Example of standard IDAutomationC39 font used with Code39 formula (non-Universal):
