Underscore in the barcoded value is scanned as a hyphen


When we use any of the IDAutomationH39 fonts the '_' is scanned as '-'. We tried using the '%O' instead, but it still scans as '-'. We are using an SC7-usb-2d scanner.

The underscore is not part of the original Code 39 Character Set.

There are a couple of ways to generate the underscore for Code 39:

(1) Install the IDAutomation Extended Code 39 Fonts, and type out the data as is by using the underscore. For example: *123_456*

You must also set your scanner to FULL ASCII/Extended Code 39. For the SC7USB 2D Scanner, please use:

(2) Type out the data using the %O as the underscore and then set the scanner to FULL ASCII/Extended 39 using the PDF in option one.
