Resolved Questions

When I encode Extended Code 39 characters in the barcode, the human readable displays wrong

I am using your IDAutomation Code 39 Font named IDAutomationHC39M. I need to create an underscore and since it is not in the standard Code 39 Character Set chart, I used the Extended Character Set chart which uses %O for the underscore.

My data is:

*ABCDEFG8365332%O114*

The barcode displays as:

I have set my scanner to read Extended Code 39 and it scans fine. How do I make the human-readable display the character it should be, the underscore, instead of the characters used to create it?

To resolve the issue, there are a couple of options:

OPTION 1
Use the non-human readable font named IDAutomationC39M (or if demo IDAutomationSC39M) and create your own human-readable data by manually placing text underneath the barcode.

OPTION 2
Use the Extended Code 39 Fonts within the package.

In this situation, you can encode the underscore directly such as *ABCDEFG8365332_114*
