2D bar code for data on small label

I recently purchased the Crystal UFL encoder to create some 2D barcode labels for a project we're working on. I have some specific size limitations regarding one of the labels I can use (THT-4-423 Brady .25 X 1.5 label). On this label, I have a part number (max length 30 characters), lot number (Typically max 8 characters), Serial # (max 30 characters), and Qty (1 to 5 characters). Each element has a prefix for the software of 1 alpha character. I've tried using the standard IDAutomation2D and 2D S font to encode the generated QR code.

If I go over about 35 characters total the barcode can't be read. Is there some way of achieving our goal? Would a different font encode the data in a small size?

The scanner I'm using is a Motorola MC32NO.

While getting the requested screenshots I found that the bar code appears to be resizing depending on the data within the bar code. I thought I saw another post about that but can't seem to find it now. In any event, I took a screenshot of one of the bar codes I was unable to read and noticed the very bottom was missing. I resized the object in my Crystal reports and reprinted and it is scanning now. The first image is the before and the 2nd is after.

I'll do some more testing and comment again if the problem still exists.

I've tested a number of different length data fields and it appears I just had to find the perfect size for the bar code. They are all scanning now.

Attach a large screenshot of the 2D barcode. Verify that the data is encoded using the UFL.
