Odd characters to the right side of my QR Code in Crystal Reports

I am using the Native Barcode Generator for Crystal Reports or the Barcode Font Encoder Formulas for Crystal Reports with a mail merge to Word, and there are some odd characters showing up on the right side of the barcode. What could be causing this?

IDAutomation provides the Native Barcode Generator for Crystal Reports with settings that are defaulted in the Formula Editor. One of these settings is the "NewLineCharacter," and this comes set as per the below image to provide Line Feeds and Carriage Returns that are required for the formatting of a 2D barcode type.

This particular setting should not be edited, or the format of the barcode will change. In this case, the format was inadvertently changed to Chr(14) & Chr (10), which is a Form Feed and not a Line Feed, causing the characters at the end of each line in the 2D barcode.

Restoring the NewLineFeed to Chr(13) & Chr(10) or ChrW(13) & ChrW(10) resolved the issue.

For the Barcode Font Encoder Formulas for Crystal Reports, the barcode will appear normally in Crystal Reports, but when a mail merge of the data to Microsoft Word is done, the barcodes in Word will appear with the extra characters to the right side. To correct this issue, use only ChrW(10) without the Line Feeds for ChrW(13) to resolve the issue.
