When exported to PDF, barcode within Crystal Reports seems to be broken

I downloaded the following from https://www.idautomation.com/downloads/IDAutomation_CrystalUFL.zip and followed the instructions on https://www.idautomation.com/font-encoders/crystal-reports/
I am able to embed a barcode on PDF documents and correctly scan them. However, some of the barcodes look like this on the PDF and I am unable to scan these.
The same code and logic are used to generate all the barcodes.

The image below is what the barcode looks like after exporting to pdf

The barcode string used is

All the barcodes use the same code and logic so I'm not sure why some are working and others are not.
Below is an example of a working barcode

This is its associated barcode string

Any assistance on why this is happening will be greatly appreciated.
Is it because of the free version?

Thanks in advance

The font within the font list is not an IDAutomation font. All IDAutomation fonts begin with the name IDAutomation (IDAutomationC128) for Code 128. It may also appear as a barcode near the I's (alphabetical order).

The font may appear written by name:

OR

The font may appear as a barcode:
