Distinguishing Versions of UFL for Crystal Reports

After downloading the updated 32bit/64bit Linear UFL, I cannot tell which version I have.

Since I am running 64-bit operating systems with the regular (not the .Net redistributable) version of Crystal Reports, do I need to use the 64-bit version of the UFL?

Operating System: Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit

Application: Crystal Reports

VERSION DETERMINATION:

To be sure the download is fully extracted, go to the extracted location. There are two folders in that directory, respectively named 32-bit Linear UFL for Redistribution and 64-bit Linear UFL for Redistribution. You will find the UFL named CRUFLIDAutomation.dll in each folder.

Right-click on the DLL in question, choose the 'Details' Tab, and look at the 'File version:

The versioning is as follows:

32-bit: YEAR.MAJOR_VERSION.MINOR_VERSION.32
64-bit: YEAR.MAJOR_VERSION.MINOR_VERSION.64

VERSION TO USE:

Referring to the UFL Manual's install instructions:

Crystal Reports Designer (the standard stand-alone program) is a 32-bit program and runs only in 32-bit mode, even on 64-bit systems. The UFL setup will install the 32-bit UFL to the following Windows System** directory:

* 32-bit Operating System: %windir%System32
* 64-bit Operating System: %windir%SysWOW64

** %windir% is the Windows directory, which can be found by pressing Windows + R > type in %windir% > Enter
