Hello Thomas,

Thank you for reaching out to IDAutomation, we’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing an issue sending the pdf file with the generated QR-Code. Unfortunately, to generate a QR-Code, or any 2D barcode, inside crystal reports you’ll need a version of at least 9 or higher and we recommend using the Font Formulas, which you can find here: Font Formula. Using the developer-licensed font to embed the pdf is what we recommend and you can find more details here: Load Fonts When Exporting PDFs.

There is a way to use the UFL in earlier versions, however, IDAutomation does not recommend nor support this legacy method, nor can we support versions of Crystal Reports before version 9.

Additionally, I see the barcode is generating, but it appears the customer you’ve sent the barcode to does not have the fonts accessible on their machine. You could try having the fonts installed anywhere that is printing the barcodes.

Also, I would note, we cannot guarantee the fonts will be embedded in version 7.

I hope this information has been helpful, let me know if you have any further questions.
