QRCodeFontEncoder and Crystal Reports using CR viewer on client

Our association uses a SQL-based association management package which includes support for Crystal Reports; clients view reports using the CR viewer which is loaded through the CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_6.msi installation as part of the association management setup on each workstation. The reports themselves are developed in Crystal Reports 2008. Staff would like to generate QR codes on meeting attendee badges (produced through a Crystal Report).

I have downloaded the demo IDAutomation QRCode Font and Encoder DEMO to the server where we develop our Crystal Reports; I set up a demo report to do a QR code on the badge based on a field in the meeting attendee's record. I can preview this QR code through Crystal Reports on that server - but when I load the report into our association management package and run the report from a client workstation, I get this error: "UFL 'u212com.dll' that implements this function is missing". I tried copying the "u212com.dll" file to the client machine and tried to register it using regsvr32.exe, but got a "module failed to load" error. So my questions are:

1. what do I need to do to view the QR codes through the CR viewer on a client workstation where Crystal Reports is not installed, and where the IDAutomation demo package is not installed?

2. what sort of license/package would be needed to enable all staff running our AMS system to use this functionality (viewing and printing the QR codes) in reports?

3. we also have a "web" version of our association management system, which gives staff access to the basic functionality of the AMS through a browser interface and which allows staff to preview/print Crystal Reports from our AMS through the browser interface, instead of through the windows client installation of the AMS. Would any version of your product allow this - previewing/printing reports with QR codes through the web interface?

Thanks -

Susan

UFL 'u212com.dll' that implements this function is missing usually means that a component on the system that you are attempting to display the barcode on is blocking the UFL. After speaking with a colleague that has worked with Crystal over the last couple of years, there could be a couple of other reasons for the message. If the Crystal version is the server version, the issue may also occur.

We have a full non-dll QR Code Crystal Reports solution coming soon as well as a streaming barcode solution already available here.
