Generate 2D barcode in Word to match a specification (UK Mailmark Type 9)

I would like to know how to present data to your 2D Data Matrix encoder/font in MS Word to create the Type 9 barcode shown on page 5 of the link below

http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/Royal-Mail-Mailmark-barcode-definition-document-May-2014-v3-1.pdf

If I did not have the full 90 characters that the specification states, what would I have to pad the string with? As I am told it is just four 2D barcodes that have been pushed together to form a larger one.

Would I have to split my barcode string into 4 strings?

This is fairly urgent so would be good if you could get back to me ASAP.

Regards

Operating System: Windows 7,10

Application: Word Mailmerge

Ian,

You must review the Royal Mail specification as well as our Data Matrix FAQ which will display information about Encoding Mode, Preferred Format, and other parameters of Data Matrix.

Though we will not be able to assist with the specification, if you have the data and format, we can explain how to pass it into our encoders to generate barcodes. What font encoder are you using?
