Datamatrix 16x48 with 72 chars in MS Access Report

I have placed a DataMatrix ActiveX control in an Access report. it must have a 16x48 shape. The string in it has a structure like "RR30599134 204011 XXX617764787283 CC0057XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX". The string is 72 characters long (and must be 72) and it should fit in this shape. But whichever encoding type I choose (E_ASCII, E_C40, E_Text, or E_Base256) the shape reverts always to the square one. Process tilde is set to "No".
What do I have to do to have the rectangular shape?

Operating System: Windows 7

Application: Microsoft Access

IDAutomation has an update that now encodes data more efficiently in C40 mode. The Poste Italiane Data Matrix data with 72 characters is now looking correct. This update will be included in the 2020 Data Matrix release updates, including the Data Matrix Font and Encoder and other components. To obtain this now, (1) open a private support question, (2) include your order ID and (3) specify the exact component you need it for. Some components, such as compiled DLLs will take longer to provide, while others such as VBA or JavaScript code, can be provided within 1 business day.

Thanks for your reply Brant,

but I made a mistake. The correct string format is "RR30599134 204011 XXX617764787283 CC0057XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" (there are three groups of blank characters: the first is made up of 4 blanks, the second has 3blanks and the last is made up of 2 blanks). The total length is 72.
NOTE: after I posted the comment I noticed that the editor deletes the blanks in excess changing the length of the string from 72 to 66.

I followed your suggestions with the correct string but the result is still the same.
I enclose an image of the report with the characteristics of the DataMatrix control and the resulting code format.

The data you used as an example will encode properly in the 16x48 shape if the C40 mode is chosen and this has been verified with the latest IDAutomation ActiveX DLL released in 2012. However, any data other than uppercase letters, a space, or numbers will cause the component to switch modes and in that case, the symbol would override the 16x48 shape.
