Junk characters C40 with C++ API IDAutomation_DMFontEncode

We're using the Data Matrix Font and Encoder; calling the IDAutomation_DMFontEncode function in IDAutomationDataMatrix.h with these parameters:
· DataToEncode: "000000000000000000000001000012345600010003000"
· ProcessTilde: false
· EncodingMode: 1 (E_C40)
· PreferredFormat: 0
When we put the result in the IDAutomationDMatrix font and scan, it shows this data:
000000000000000000000001000012345600010003000GRJHR251

The characters "GRJHR251" at the end are erroneous. They do not appear in any other encoding mode other than C40.
Our IDAutomationDataMatrix.h header says "C++ Header File for IDAutomation Data Matrix Fonts V2020".
Note that we are not using a DLL or library of any kind. We were supplied the files IDAutomationDataMatrix.h and IDAutomationDataMatrix.cpp and we compiled them into our application. Is there any update to the C++ code which fixes this?

Thanks for checking in. The encoding is correct in ASCII mode. Our customer needs it to be encoded correctly in C40 mode as well.
