Powerbuilder can't delete Barcode Data Matrix PNG after use

I am using the Data Matrix Font and Encoder Suite in Powerbuilder. After using the SaveBarcode function in Powerbuilder, I want to delete the Barcode file after using it, so I disconnect my OLEobject & destroy the OLEobject, and modify the data window object P_3 to have a blank filename. I try to use FileDelete but it says that the PNG file is still in use by my application and the only way I can delete this PNG is manually when the application is closed. Is there any reason why the SaveBarcode function would keep any attachments to this file so I can't delete it programmatically while the application is running?

Brant	Best Answer From your code, it looks like you are doing everything right. I am not sure what could keep that file open; it must be either PowerBuilder or another app that is accessing it after it is created. As an alternative, you could use a batch file to delete files older than 3 days and have it run every night as a scheduled task. Below is the PowerBuilder code that I am using to create the barcode and save it. I have an olecustomcontrol with the control IDautomation Datamatrix Barcode 1.803 that is ole_1
