Using SC7USB 2D with PQA stop working

First of all, I don't know what the order number is. I have never seen the paperwork.

My question is, I have been using the SC7USB 2D Hand scanner/verifier with PQA enabled. With Notepad open, I would scan a Data-matrix 2d bar code label and see the result in Notepad. All of a sudden today it quit working. It will scan and light up and beep, but nothing displays in Notepad.

I have restarted the computer, plugged the cable into different USB ports, and reprogrammed the hand scanner to "Enable PQA" and nothing seems to make it work again.

You may need to disconnect the scanner from its cord by placing a small item, such as a paperclip, into the lower back hole of the scanner. This will allow you to fully disconnect the scanner. Insert the code back into the base and then reconnect the scanner to the USB port. If this does not work, then re-install the USB drivers, and re-enable the scanner by following the instructions at: https://www.idautomation.com/scanners/scanner-programming-barcodes/SC7USB2D-Enable-Scanner-for-initial-use.pdf
