Resolved Questions

What kind of Dependency we would need if we use a c++ code base for Data Matrix?

We are considering DataMatrix font functionality to be incorporated into our products.

We have a C++ application. Would that require to have an external dependency or this could be statically compiled into the application?

If we have external dependency how many dependencies (dll, libs) would there be?
Do we need to install fonts on every customer's machine for this?

Our Data Matrix font and encoder package contains a C++ header file. It is written purely in C++ code using the standard C++ libraries and does not have any OS-dependent code. The method that would be used is the IDAutomation_DMFontencode function. This returns a C++ string of characters including carriage returns. Each character represents a bar pattern. So when the barcode font is applied to that string a Data Matrix barcode will result.
Please refer to this page for more information and a sample code:

If the application is being run locally on the user's machine, then the font will need to be installed locally as well. Since an unlimited developer's license is required, this will allow you to install the font on an unlimited number of machines.
