Emailing the IMG or Hyperlink from SaaS Barcode Genenator


We are testing the demo of the Barcode Generator Subscription service and have run into a problem when the service is used in an email message. We have embedded it both as an IMAGE and as a hyperlink. When the email is forwarded, the HTML within the IMG tag and Hyperlink gets modified. Is there a setting that we can use to prevent this from happening? Or is there a better way to embed the SaaS-generated QR Code link in our eblast program? Our goal is to email these URLs after they are dynamically generated by an SQL script to insert the name, order, and product info needed in the QR code.

The program used to forward the email must be modifying the link and that is something we cannot control. We recommend contacting the developer of the email program being used to see if there is a setting for this. We recommend using https instead of http and that may have some impact on how the email program responds to the modification. Another option, that would require custom coding, would be to download the image first and attach it to the email as an image and not a link.

Yeah, that is what is happening, but we don't have the option to code it and store and attach it. I guess we just tell the users in the email body that they cannot forward the message to another email address.
