Low Resolution Printer Using Streaming Barcode Product to Create Barcode Images Embedded In PDF

Whilst we would like to be able to specify barcode length our BI reports have variable length and type barcodes hence the reason to choose the SaaS offering (the Dynamic Barcode Generator Subscription).

Our issue now is that on printing to Zebra LP 2844-Z printer the barcode is fuzzy and not scannable. Having read the ability to use other installed license options with a DPI setting wondering if this capability is looking to be added to the SaaS offering soon.

It is quite urgent for us to resolve this.

Low-resolution printers, such as 203 DPI (dots per inch), may require adjusting the overall barcode to compensate for a less-dense output.

The exact settings to use are not specific Xdimension or image resolution, but instead, have to be calculated and adjusted by trial and error (to the local setup by the client). To help our clients perform those calculations, we have created the Web Browser Barcode Resolution FAQ.

Note: The default resolution of IDAutomation Barcode Streaming Products* is 96 DPI, as referred to in the Web Browser Barcode Resolution FAQ. To adjust this property, the Image Resolution (IR=) may be adjusted in the URL call.

*This pertains to the following products:

· Dynamic Barcode Generator Subscription (hosted by IDAutomation)
· Java Barcode Servlet (hosted by client)
· Streaming Barcode Server for IIS (hosted by client)
· ASP Barcode Generator Script (hosted by client)
· ASPX Barcode Generator Script (hosted by client)
· PHP Barcode Generator Script (hosted by client)
